The Oscars might have already happened, but it’s award season at Carousel as we’re shortlisted for not one, but three awards for our work this year.

Announced on 8 March, our Young Oska Bright project is nominated for a Creative Learning Guild Award in the Creative Charity category. This category is about recognising the difference a single charity makes in delivering, promoting or supporting creative learning.

Following soon after we’ll find out if we’ve won at the Attitude is Everything Outstanding Attitude Awards in The Nigel McCune DIY Access category for our work on The Rock House. The ceremony takes place on 12 March and celebrates excellence and innovation in live event accessibility for disabled audiences.

And finally, on 1 April, we’ll be hoping that the Oska Bright Film Festival team come away with the Creative Choices Award at the Creative & Cultural Skills Awards in Cardiff. This award celebrates those who have shown continued excellence in breaking down the barriers to entry in the creative and cultural sector.

We’ll be hoping we’re more Olivia Colman than Glenn Close when it comes to our awards! Fingers crossed we’ll be reporting back on three big wins over the next few weeks.
