The Paralympic Games in London 2012 will see the beginning of the end of a long journey of exclusion of athletes with learning disabilities following the disqualification of the Spanish basketball team in Sydney.
• To develop awareness of the hidden history of the sporting heritage of people with learning disabilities
• To understand how a section of our society were excluded from participation in Paralympic competition
• To reflect on issues of human rights and social injustice
