My practice is simple and complicated concurrently.  I like my art 2 be about me and the colours I like and enjoy the energy of.  These are all the warm colours, my main ones= red, orange, peach and yellow.  I enjoy making art and use many mediums and practices.  I’ve got a very specific, unique style, so usually people can see it’s me that’s made my art.  I attempt 2 be playful with my art process and can use many forms in one art piece. I aim 4 my artwork 2 have my character and the audience 2 sense this.

I’m Lord Sugar, no I’m not…I am Fran, and I do Carousel Radio. I am a presenter. We won an award!

I am also part of Carousel Chorus, we are a small group of singers and we take our singing professionally. Like Daniel Wakeford. We are very creative, and this is good fun….It’s good fun as well when I go places, seeing other people, being sociable. Seeing people is very important to me! I like chatting, I chat to lots of people…I think that’s why I like being on the Radio.

When I draw portraits of people I see their personality, whether I know them, if they are a stranger or through a photo. All I care is that they love and enjoy the work that’s all I care about.

Multi skilled, self-taught, I think differently, they call me trouble. I am Chair of Trustees for Carousel, a member of Oska Bright film team, member of Creative Minds committee and above all else a visual artist.

I always wanted to play drums but didn’t have enough money for a teacher so got started at college. I joined a band and then from that I was a drummer. In 2002 Beat Express came together at Carousel. From there I have done lots of gigs, been abroad, and taught at schools. Gigs I have enjoyed include going to Ireland and Germany.

Going to schools and helping others is important - It doesn’t matter what kind of disability, if you have music in yourself and belief in yourself you can do anything,

Playing drums in front of people makes me feel pretty good. It made me feel this is me – something that has made me be who I am.

From the start I have enjoyed being trained and learning new things, and being techy. I’m so into it, have been able to get a paid job doing tech.

I’m passionate in what I do, and I always want to learn more.
